15 02 2008

Hello All,

Well Ambowife is still away, and I’m missing her. Only six days till her return though so I’ll just have to tough it out.

A big Happy Birthday to our son (much featured on her layouts) Christopher – the grand ol’ age of twenty. I sent him a text at 18 minutes past midnight this morning wishing him all the best but have not yet recieved a reply.

There’s a lot going on in his life with his Gran (Ambowife’s Mum) selling up and moving from Tasmania to Queensland, he has not found a place of his own to live and is currently staying with a mate until he does.

Ambowife and the Outlaw (ha ha ha, the motherinlaw) are at the northern end of Tassie at a town called Devonport waiting to get on the ferry that sails today and docks nine hours later in the capital of the most southern state (Victoria) of the Australian mainland, Melbourne. From there they will make a start on the great Mother and Daughter road trip to the north-east state of Queensland. I think it takes 12 hours to drive from Melbourne to Sydney and then another 12 to get to Brisbane in Queensland. I don’t think that they will swing by here on the way, I might not let her go!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my mum will come to stay a few nights from Sunday, she paddles in Dragon Boats and of course the Chinese New Year Boat races are on up here in Sydney on Darling Harbour. Then a cousin of Ambowifes from England arrives for a backpacking holiday around Australia and we are going to be her base camp you might say.

During all this time I’ve been working like a dog doing as much overtime as I physically can on my days off and trying to get an early start on my next semester at University. With the news coming out of the US today, I’m glad that I do my uni study be correspondance.

Well that should be enough of news and my selfpity. Everyone have a ‘fabtastic’ day and ’she that should be obeyed’ will be back in a week.
The photo is of the plantroom (carpark) at my work place.

Off the air for 3 weeks!!

30 01 2008
Yup that’s right I head off to Tassie tomorrow to find Chris somewhere to live and help mum move to Queensland driving so I will be off the air for 3 weeks total, although I may have access and be able to check my emails but that’s probably all I’ll have time to do LOL.

So to keep you all going for a little while here is what I did over the last few days. Shannon Fahrnbach’s Corrugated Glitter Papers and bobby pins by me.
Shannon Fahrnbach’s “How does your garden grow?” My bouquet!
Terrell Sanzone’s “Blue Fantasy” Kit, this is Renee and Simon at our wedding LOL. I love this pic of Renee!!
This is some stuff I made the other day to use with these photos of MY MEN!
Ah Romance, Michael’s singing Nick Cave’s “Into My Arms”
while we have our Bridal waltz!! This is my Precious Paisley Paper and the ribbon and feathers are from my Dear Diary Kit!
Okay so that’s it for now gotta run and make sure I haven’t forgotten to pack anything LOL!
Have a great 3 weeks, I’ll be back soon LOL!!

Tragedy of Heath Ledger’s Passing

26 01 2008
At only 28 years of age we have lost
the biggest Success of Australian film in recent years. I was shattered when I heard the news and literally ran to the TV when I heard them say it on Sunrise. Oh My God, what a great loss for the Australian Film Industry and for all his fans. I know Leanne will be heartbroken too. Hugs Hun!! He was such a gorgeous guy and a fabulous actor, very shy and a wonderful, proud Daddy to little Matilda. He was going to turn 29 on 4th April.
I am not going to go into the why’s of his tragic death, I am only going to say that I am certain he didn’t commit Suicide!! The Stilnox that he was taking is what I believe did it. Michael, an Ambulance Officer, as you know, says that is very dangerous stuff and they are always going to people who have overdosed accidentally on it.

So I have been a bit blue the past three days over this aweful news, and feel so Heartbroken especially for Matilda, his 2 year old daughter!!
I Can’t help but think of Michael Hutchence and how these little girls will grow up without their Daddy.
Okay so I scrapped Heath in the last few days. I used Blue Fantasy by Terrell Sanzone for the ones of heath on his own, the perfect kit name for how I feel at the moment.
For the layout with Matilda on his shoulders I used Terrell Sanzone’s Mardi Gras Blog Train kit, in memory of happier times with her daddy!!
I have nothing more on the subject, I think about it so much that I don’t want to overload by blogging every detail as well.
Okay so I am off for the big road trip on Thursday, well to help prepare for it at least. My son Christopher has to find somewhere to live and so I am going early to help him move too. Mum is pretty organised though so there won’t be much to do with her place!! She is having her garage sale today so hopefully she will get rid of the stuff she is trying to sell and we won’t have to dispose of much when I go down.
Well that’s it from me for now, take care and I hope all is well with you wherever you are!!

Watch This Space LOL!!

22 01 2008
Well it is 7.30 here in Sydney and Michael has scored an overtime shift so I have all day to play with all the new kits TerrellS has posted for Me and Doreen to play with so I will be here for a while today and should post some layouts later in the day!! So Watch this space LOL!!
We had an interesting day yesterday, I got up and went to my Weight Watchers Meeting. I put on 300g, damn it!! But I have to say I haven’t been the best at tracking this last week and was skipping meals so I think I was taking in too much in my evening meal LOL!! So When I got back I had to get lunch done and then off to see my friend Sue. She works for Meals on Wheels for the elderly and was stuck at work for 2 hours with not much to do so I caught up with her while she worked and answered a total of only two calls LOL!! Oh well she’s being paid to sit there I guess!! After that I got home and immediately changed into my biking gear and we drove down to the end of our usual ride and proceeded to ride to Kurnell to see what we thought about adding it to our already 26km ride. From there to Kurnell is about the same distance so we would be doubling the distance. There were steady inclines and I seemed to handle them alright but I don’t think I would after riding the other distance already so we are going to just add some of it to our existing ride!! As long as we are increasing the distance a little it will help with improving our conditioning so we don’t get too comfortable with the ride and our bodies are still working. I know for a fact that it must be doing something cause I feel less jiggling of my legs as I pedal LOL!! So there must be less flabby fat there mustn’t there !!!!?
Okay well I’m off to play for a while and then do some designing later this after noon, hope everyone is well and will post back later with some layouts!!
Hugs
Tracy :)

Not a Lot…

20 01 2008
….going on here today, I looked up how much it will cost to take the car on the ferry to the Mainland with Mum and if we go on the Saturday we can get a day sailing which is only $99 each and $61 for the car, so that’s not bad!! I still have to book the flight down and the flight from Brisbane back home again. This I shall do when the credit card has gone down after Michael’s payday!!
My Poor Darling… you have to put up with so much from me I know, you are so gorgeous for tolerating me and my to-ing and fro-ing between here and Tassie, hopefully after Mum is settled things will settle down for us too!!God I wish we were back home, things would be so much easier and so many things would never have had to happen, sigh!!
Okay, enough self pity!!! On to some layouts. The first one I did with a new kit I made last night, I basically did the layout to make sure that it was all in working order so to speak!! I think I’m pretty happy with it!! I did two kits so getting somewhere LOL!!
The next one is with TerrellS’ Alex’s Asian Kit, fabulous colours in this asian feel kit but so versatile that you could scrap almost anything with it. The pic in this is when we went out for dinner in September before I headed home again. The four of us at the back of the pic went to Melbourne for 4 days on a girls weekend and had a ball!!
My Mum is in the bottom right corner and Alf and Bev are in the foreground. Christopher took the photo for us!!
This next one is My Dad (where the arrow is) it was taken in Singapore at Changi!! So it was the perfect thing to use Alex’s Asian by TerrellS again for this very important photo of my Dad when he was only 19 and training to be an Argylle in the British Army, that was when he met my Mum, well not met her, they became penpals and then he met her when he returned home to Scotland.
Don’t you love the hats they are wearing LOL!! My Dad was a real catch too, not bad at all, very easy on the eyes LOL!!
Okay well I am going to run off and see some TV before bed. Michael is working and so I’m on my lonesome, but it also means I get the whole bed to myself, LOL. I hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves and eachother LOL!!

Hugs

Tracy :)

Happy New Year Everybody!!!

A quiet one for us, we did see the fireworks on the tv and managed to make it to midnight but we didn’t drink. Michael had to work the next day and so we had a quiet night in.

BIG NEWS FOR CHRIS

Well my little boy is a Licenced Driver!! Yup he passed his test on 2nd January so he is probably going to be spending every spare dollar on petrol. LOL He did it all mostly on his own too, it’s a manual Licence and the only one of us that taught him anything manual was Michael, here in Sydney. I taught him the steering and all in the automatic before we got him Lessons in a manual car, and now he’s free as a bird!! No more lifts from Anyone, although he’ll probably be borrowing money for petrol all the time instead LOL. Here’s a layout I did for the occassion.

I just sent it to him in an email so I am looking forward to a response LOL, it took me a while to do the flames on the L plates, but that’s what he’ll be doing with those LOL.

Things have quietened down a bit here now, I am not committed to anything outside cyberspace until February, when I go back to Hobart to help Mum move to Queensland. It’ll be fun, like a bigger version of the roadtrip I did last year. So IVF is going on hold for another month.

More Big News, from Me this time, I won Layout of the Week a few weeks ago at mootwodesigns.com, there were three winners so I was in good company. Also in the next MooTwoDesigns Newsletter I am their Featured Scrapper, so keep an eye out for that in the next week.

Okay here are some layouts from the last few weeks. This one I think is my favourite for the last few weeks, I am really pleased with how it turned out, of course it helps when the subject is so special and photogenic!!

Here is a layout of Amelia while she was visiting her Grandparents last year. She’s just so pretty, isn’t she!

Amelia is one of the three nieces we have on Michael’s side of the family.

These two were created Using Terrell Sanzone’s Posting Bonus Kit from her SAS sketch challenge, if you got the SAS newsletter you would have been able to download this as a freebie Kit, you have to participate in the challenge to get the other part, which is just as gorgeous as this section.

I used Terrell’s Impressions Kit for this layout of Chris when he was still learning to walk.

Isn’t he just adorable!!

TerrellS’ Love Whimsy kit is used here to create a layout of Gabriella as our Flowergirl. Cuteness must run in our family LOL.Michael and his homeboys, these photos were taken on the walk down to the Rotunda at the Royal Tasmanian Botannical Gardens in Hobart, goofballs LOL!! None of them remembered the buttonhole roses so luckily Michael’s Dad, John gave Michael his to wear, Chris forgot his too and My Mum’s Corsage was left in the fridge as well, sigh, there’s always something LOL.

This is a photo that I found amongst Tuffy’s Dad’s photos, hard copies, so I scanned it and did this layout, its the only photo that shows a closer look at me signing the register with our Celebrant showing me where to put my signature, Kath Venn was a lovely choice for our Celebrant. I used Shannon Fahrnbach’s kits for this, including Ribbon Rounds Download a Day and her Grab Bag for November

And here’s Robbie resting in the Sunshine in Mum’s backyard, He’s so darn cute!! Told you it ran in the family LOL. I used TerrellS’ Roses for Mom kit here. I love the softness of this kit.

I am just in Love with…TerrellS’ Love Whimsy Kit, it goes perfectly with the kit she created for me Tracy’s Love.

Here we are signing the register again LOL. I know, I know, “More Wedding Layouts!” I hear you all moan but ya haven’t seen these ones they are from Tuffy’s Dad’s hardcopies and it took me ages to do them cause I had to get the speckles and noise out of them before I could scrap them, so whisper if you want to I’m not listening ROFLMHO!!

I can see some Valentine layouts coming from this kit too with the heart theme running through it.

Hee Hee I just did this one for TerrellS’s Sketch challenge over at Stone Accents Studio, Don’t you love TerrellS’ Template?!! I did this at, like, 2 am this morning so I was feeling overtired and a bit goofy hence the jokiness of it.

The pair in the sleigh is Hayley and her dog Nemo aka Rudolf LOL.

I used TerrellS’s papers from her collaboration kit that she did with Shannon Fahrnbach called Cozy Christmas. The Background I recoloured with a pink overlay and the presents were part of one of TerrellS’ Christmas Tree element which I extracted them from.

The Santa is from the Christmas Wrap kit by Deedee Smith.
Okay well I think that should keep everyone up to date for another week. I hope you are all having a great holiday season and if you are working don’t work too hard.

Hugs all round!!

Tracy

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Not the best pic of us because the lights down the side of the photo have ruined it but this is us at Michael’s work’s Christmas do!

I know I have been MIA again but what can I say… Life gets in the way!!

So we were apart again at Christmas but today is Boxing Day and I am home. LOL and Michael is on night shifts today and tomorrow. But all that said we have had our exchange of gifts and things are relatively back to normal.

I took a heap of pics while I was away and so they will reappear in layouts no doubt in the next week or so. I had a lovely christmas lunch with Mum and Chris and then dinner with John and Ila so I had a lovely day. I also went and saw the new warehouse for the company I used to work for and on Christmas Eve I did attend their breakfast and stayed to help out until midday. I took pics at that too LOL, off course. Like this one where chris is acting silly dressed up as a robot, yes, that’s my son in the cardboard LOL.Chris has his new used car and I had a drive of it when I was home. Nice and easy enough to drive so he is pleased. Cross you fingers for him, he has his driving test in another week.
Okay so that’s it for now, I’m off to make myself some dinner and then I’ll get stuck into some Layouts and commenting on the sites. Have a fabulous New Year if we don’t get back here before then. All the best
Tracy :)
